Question
What representations has the Welsh Government made to the UK Government about reducing VAT on oil, which is a common form of fuel used in areas of rural Wales?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
VAT is a reserved tax. The Welsh Government has not made representations to the UK government on this specific issue, although we continue to make representations on a wide range of subjects to support the interests of the people of Wales, including in respect to tackling poverty, delivery of public services and economic growth.
