Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary establish a cross-sector oversight board to monitor implementation of the National Clinical Strategy for Ophthalmology, as has been recommended by the Health and Social Care Committee following its inquiry into ophthalmology services?

I have already set out a detailed response to the Health and Social Care Committee regarding its recommendations on secondary ophthalmology services, including investment considerations. This response has been formally submitted to the Committee, which will now review and debate the Welsh Government’s position as part of its ongoing scrutiny.
Given that the matter is currently before the Committee, it would not be appropriate to provide additional commentary through a Written Question. I will continue to work with the Committee through the established scrutiny processes.
