Question
What work is the Welsh Government undertaking to discourage the practice of culling day-old male chicks in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
The Welsh Government recognises the public concern surrounding the culling of male day-old chicks. There are no commercial laying hen hatcheries slaughtering male day-old chicks in Wales.
