Question
What plans are in place to monitor and evaluate the accessibility of Seren Lodge at the Countess of Chester Hospital for women from Wales, including identifying any needs to increase the capacity of the two specific beds for women from Wales and the Welsh-language services that are offered?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
The Joint Commissioning Committee provides strategic oversight, governance and assurance about placements at Seren Lodge. This includes monitoring demand/capacity and ensuring Welsh language services are offered.
The findings of the NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee and Royal College of Psychiatrists Wales Utilisation, Forecasting & Modelling Report will inform the capital estates plan as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy and delivery plan.
