Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm when the full hourly train service will be running throughout the whole year on the Cambrian line?

We remain committed to delivering a full hourly service on the Cambrian line between Shrewsbury – Aberystwyth. Transport for Wales will introduce an hourly service on this route from May 2027, with the hourly service pattern operating during the busy summer period between May and September. We will continue to work with Transport for Wales and Network Rail to explore the options for delivering the full hourly service throughout the year which would likely require additional rolling stock, staffing and infrastructure upgrades.
