Question
Will the First Minister outline the Welsh Government's position on decolonisation in the Welsh curriculum?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language (Anna Brychan)
Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic histories and experiences are a mandatory part of the Curriculum for Wales and part of Welsh history. This is part of the consistent exposure of learners to the story of their locality, of Wales and the wider world, reflecting the diverse history and culture of modern Wales. Diversity is a cross-cutting theme in the Curriculum for Wales.
