Will the Cabinet Minister consider re-exploring the feasibility of the Swansea Tidal Lagoon project as a means of utilising the second highest tidal range in the world to generate clean green energy?

The Welsh Government will need to consider the recent research from the Tidal Lagoon Challenges as we look to unblock the barriers to taking forward tidal range projects in Wales.
One significant constraint for tidal lagoons is that there is no financial support mechanism from the UK Government. I will be meeting with UK Government ministers seeking clarification as to whether UK Government will commit to a financial mechanism to support the delivery of tidal range technology.
