Question
Will the Cabinet Minister confirm how many households in Wales are currently in rent arrears with social landlords?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning (Siân Gwenllian)
The Welsh Government collects data on the number of households in Wales that are currently in rent arrears with social landlords. Please refer to this publicly available data source (for up to date and historic arrears levels for all social housing stock): Tenancies in arrears by local authority area, provider and duration | StatsWales
Welsh Government's Social Housing Regulator provides regular survey updates on tenant arrears for Registered Social Landlords only. That information is published here: Registered Social Landlord Quarterly Regulation Survey
