Question
What discussions is the Welsh Government having about increasing the number of banking hubs across Wales?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy (Adam Price)
Financial services are reserved matters. Banking hub provision, local access to cash reviews are undertaken independently by LINK, with recommendations for the introduction of banking hubs passed to Cash Access UK who operates on behalf of participating banks to delivery hubs.
The network of shared banking hubs across Wales continues to expand - there are now 15 shared banking hubs open in Wales with 3 further in the process of being established.
