Question
What assessment has the Cabinet Minister made of how many homes need to be built in Wales by July 2029 for Wales to match the UK Government's target of delivering 1.5 million homes across the UK, and whether the Welsh Government expects to meet that target?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning (Siân Gwenllian)
Targets set by the UK Government are not a matter for the Welsh Government. The Welsh Government has set a target of 20,000 new social homes by 2030, ensuring that they are of high quality and energy efficient.
