Question
Does the Welsh Government support Wrexham's 2029 City of Culture bid?
Answer
Answered by Trefnydd, Chief Whip and Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport (Heledd Fychan)
The Welsh Government supports Wrexham’s 2029 City of Culture bid and is working closely with the bid team and Council, including on options for financial support. Wrexham deservedly reached the shortlist to be City of Culture in 2025 and is now building on that momentum.
