Question
What action is the Welsh Government taking to reduce digital fragmentation in the Welsh NHS?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
The Welsh Government is reducing digital fragmentation across NHS Wales through a “Once for Wales” approach, supported by national platforms, common standards and stronger governance.
This includes the NHS Wales App, the National Data Resource and electronic patient record systems. The new ten year Digital and Data Strategy will set a clearer route towards a single, integrated patient record for Wales, improving interoperability and reducing duplication.
