Will the Cabinet Minister confirm the purpose of the proposed Preventative Departmental Expenditure Line?

I am working with the Cabinet Minister for Finance to consider how best to strengthen our collective focus on prevention in public spending. Prevention is a key priority for this Government, and we are exploring how our budget processes can better support early intervention and long-term outcomes.

This is part of our wider effort to ensure public resources are used in a way that delivers sustainable benefits for people in Wales.
