Question
Further to WQ99177, will the Cabinet Minister provide a breakdown of that funding by local authority area?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability (Llyr Gruffydd)
The £100,000 referred to in my answer to WQ99177 has been allocated on an all-Wales basis to support feasibility work on enhanced odour monitoring at landfill sites.
The funding will be used to assess the practical application of odour monitoring across Wales, with activity prioritised according to risk, evidence and operational priorities, rather than through predetermined allocations to individual local authorities. This approach will ensure the work can focus on the areas where it will have the greatest value and will provide an evidence-base to inform any future decisions on odour monitoring at landfill sites.
