Question
What is the Welsh Government doing to make it easier for patients to access GP appointments?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
We will improve access to GP appointments by delivering our commitment to recruit up to 100 additional GPs and to increase the share of health board funding directed towards primary care.
The access standards mean patients should be able to use a range of routes, including telephone, digital and in‑person access, supported by the NHS Wales App
This will be supported by developing more collaborative and federated models of working across practices to improve resilience and expand access for patients.
