Question
What regulations and requirements will be within the scope of the review of farming bureaucracy announced on 11 June 2026?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability (Llyr Gruffydd)
The Terms of Reference are now published on the Welsh Government website.
Independent review of the bureaucratic burden on family farms | GOV.WALES

This review will provide an independent, practical assessment of the bureaucratic burden on family farms in Wales. It aims to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and complexity, while retaining our high standards. The scope of the review is set out in the Terms of Reference. The only costs associated with the review are those of the Chair, who will be remunerated at a rate in line with agreed Welsh Government practices.
