Question
Will the Cabinet Minister confirm what proportion of 999 calls handled by the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust were found to be non-compliant with clinical call handling standards in each of the last four years?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
The Welsh Government does not routinely hold detailed operational information or guidance of this nature.
Responsibility for ensuring compliance with clinical call-handling requirements, including arrangements for training, competency assessment, supervision and the role of supervisory ‘buddies’, rests with the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust through its established clinical governance and quality assurance processes.
The Member may therefore wish to contact the Trust directly for further information on these matters.
