Question
What plans does the Welsh Government have to recognise historic county flags for Carmarthenshire, Denbighshire, Montgomeryshire, and Radnorshire?
Answer
Answered by Trefnydd, Chief Whip and Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport (Heledd Fychan)
The Welsh Government has no plans to introduce formal recognition of historic county flags for Carmarthenshire, Denbighshire, Montgomeryshire or Radnorshire.
The Welsh Government recognises that historic counties remain an important part of Wales's history and are valued by many communities across the country. Cadw plays an important role in promoting understanding of Wales’s local and regional heritage, including Wales’ historic counties.
