Question
In relation to Adam Price MS's claims, references 2044214 and 2044218, for a visit to Boston in 2023, will the Commission confirm whether a) a business case was submitted, and b) a report of the visit was provided in line with section 5.15 of the Determination that was in force at that time?
Answer
Answered by Senedd Commission
The Commission can confirm that, in accordance with the arrangements in place at the time, all Members who wished to arrange international travel for which they intended to claim under the Determination applied by sending a business case for prior approval.
Where a Member undertook international travel, the Member was responsible for producing a post-visit report. If travel did not take place, the requirement to submit a post-visit report would not arise.
In relation to claim references 2044214 and 2044218, a business case was submitted, but a report of the visit was not as the visit did not take place.
