What assessment has the Cabinet Minister made of the impact of the local community, and young people especially, of the closure of the Military Preparation Training College in Merthyr Tydfil?

The Military Preparation Training College has operated as a subcontractor within the Jobs Growth Wales+ delivery network. We recognise that providers are operating in a challenging environment, balancing finite public resources against increasing demand for support. The Welsh Government remains committed to helping young people access education, training and employment opportunities, and we will continue to monitor the availability of provision for young people across Wales.
