Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to integrating NHS support functions, such as digital systems, patient records, procurement and other back-office services, with equivalent UK systems, to reduce duplication and focus more resources on patient care?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
Through the NHS Wales Planning Framework, NHS Wales is driving improvements in productivity, reducing waste and securing better value from public investment. NHS Wales already benefits from shared services through the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership which delivers national procurement and corporate functions.
