Question
Will the Cabinet Minister amend Universal Action 8 of the Sustainable Farming Scheme so that hedgerows can be trimmed or cut annually?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability (Llyr Gruffydd)
We are considering variations to Universal Action 8 based on feedback from stakeholders and farmers, however no decisions have been made yet. It is important we consider practical management issues alongside the delivery of biodiversity benefits such as the provision of winter food for wildlife.
