Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to introducing equivalent support for businesses in Welsh border communities to mitigate any competitive disadvantage arising from the UK Government's decision to reduce non-domestic rates for pubs, clubs and music venues in England from April 2027?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Finance (Elin Jones)
I have noted the UK Government’s announcement on additional support for pubs, clubs and music venues in England. The implications for Wales will be considered once full details, including how this additional support will be funded, are available. Further information is expected as part of the UK Government’s Autumn Statement.
