Question
Will childcare providers receiving funding via the new childcare offer be required to attain real living wage accreditation and if so, will additional funding be provided to ensure that requirement is financially sustainable?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Equality (Sioned Williams)
There are currently no plans to require childcare providers delivering government funded childcare to obtain Real Living Wage accreditation. Therefore, no additional funding is planned specifically for this purpose.
