What assessment did the Welsh Government make of the value for money before providing £335,000 to the Books Council of Wales for distribution through the essential support grant in 2025-26?

Under the previous Welsh Government administration, officials assessed the proposal in line with standard processes. This included consideration of the rationale for intervention, strategic fit, anticipated outcomes and value for money.
