Question
Will the Welsh Government work with local authorities in north-east Wales to develop plans for a 50-metre Olympic-sized swimming pool for the region?
Answer
Answered by Trefnydd, Chief Whip and Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport (Heledd Fychan)
Our 100-day plan includes a commitment to commission an audit of community and regional sporting facilities, engaging key partners, including National Governing Bodies such as Swim Wales. This is an important first step in helping us understand where capital investment can be prioritised and have the greatest impact. The audit is already underway and, alongside the development of a new Culture and Sport Strategy, will help shape future investment decisions and strategic priorities. To influence this work, I would welcome your contribution to our call for evidence that was launched on 5 August.
