Reform UK Debate - regional rugby
Reform UK's Llŷr Powell proposed that the Senedd call on the Welsh Government to ensure the Welsh Rugby Union protects the future of Wales's four rugby regions. Plaid Cymru's Heledd Fychan proposed replacing this with new wording. The Senedd rejected the amendment and then rejected the original motion, so nothing was agreed.
- Motion without amendment
The vote on Reform UK's original motion, calling on the Welsh Government to ensure the WRU protects the future of the four rugby regions.
Rejected - Amendment 1, tabled in the name of Heledd Fychan
Plaid Cymru's amendment would replace the whole motion. It would respect the WRU's independence, note concerns about cutting regions from four to three, and call on the WRU to engage openly with supporters and communities.

How this theme is tagged
This is keyword matching. It can miss contributions that discuss the subject in other words, and it can tag a passing mention.
Show the phrases it uses
A contribution is tagged when its English text contains one of these phrases. Capital letters don't matter, except in abbreviations, which must match exactly. It is also tagged when the title of the agenda item or question it was part of contains one, as long as the contribution is at least 30 words long.
