Will the Welsh Government publish a map of inclusive playground provision and ensure that every local authority area has at least one fully accessible playground?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Equality (Sioned Williams)
Local authorities are responsible for assessing and, as far as reasonably practicable, securing sufficient play opportunities in their areas under the Children and Families (Wales) Measure 2010. The Welsh Government has no current plans to publish a national map of inclusive playground provision, however local authorities’ assessments must take account of inclusive and accessible playgrounds, play areas and other play spaces, in line with the most recent statutory guidance, Wales – a Play Friendly Country.
