What public awareness campaigns has the Welsh government undertaken to inform the public that it is a legal requirement for members of the public to provide ID alongside track-and-trace contact details when purchasing food or drink from a hospitality venue?

Hospitality businesses are not required to ask every adult for ID. Welsh Government guidance specifies this need only be requested if there is a concern that the data supplied could be false; at which point they are required to make reasonable efforts to request verification of ID. Information making this clear to businesses has been shared widely through, for example, guidance, newsletters and checklists.
However, Visit Wales is running two live consumer campaigns (Addo and Keep Wales Safe) which are active and backed by significant marketing spend, both carrying specific hospitality messaging. These campaigns are targeted at specific audiences as well as being geo-targeted to areas close to hospitality premises.
