Atebwyd gan Minister for Economy
Visit Wales is engaging with the hospitality industry to determine the nature and extent of current staff shortages. As a key commitment highlighted in ‘Let’s Shape the Future’ (the Recovery Plan for the sector), important work is underway with businesses and partners, including colleges, local authorities and others to identify potential interventions required to address skills, recruitment and retention issues to complement existing funding and support programmes.
Work is also underway with the Wales Tourism and Hospitality Skills Partnership and key partners such as Careers Wales, to plan a recruitment campaign to highlight the full range of sustainable career opportunities available within the sector.
