Cwestiwn
Mae'r cwestiwn a'r ateb yn Saesneg gan nad oes fersiwn Gymraeg ar gael.
Will the Minister explain why engineering improvements to the A465 between Brynmawr and Glanbaiden junction have resulted in a speed limit of 50 mph?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
The dualling of the road will help to improve traffic flow, reduce journey time, enhance road safety and improve resilience in this area whilst considering the impact on the environment.
This section of the A465 passes through the Brecon Beacons National Park and is adjacent to areas of landscape which have the highest level of environmental protection and incredibly challenging topography.
Designing this section for higher design speeds would have had a much greater impact on this important environment.
