Will the Minister provide an update on the Economy Futures Fund?

As set out in our Programme for Government, we want to build an economy based on the principles of fair work, sustainability and the industries and services of the future.
The Economy Futures Fund continues to provide crucial support to businesses right across Wales, meeting one of the five Calls of Action published under the Economic Action Plan.
Since the launch of the fund over 400 offers of support have been accepted with a value of over £103m.
I recently visited GS Yuasa in Ebbw Vale who have been in receipt of £2.5m from the fund. The company is one of the world’s leading global manufacturers of Valve Regulated Lead Acid) and Lithium-ion batteries. The funding will help the company increase production volumes and upgrade processes so they are more energy efficient as well as helping create 105 new jobs and protecting a further 360.
