Atebwyd gan Minister for Social Justice
The Welsh Government is committed to tackling anti-social behaviour.
Tackling crime and anti-social behaviour are not directly devolved matters but many of the drivers that impact on community safety are and we are determined to do everything in our power to help the people of Wales feel safe.
We have protected the investment in additional Welsh Government-funded Police Community Support Officers for the 2021–22 financial year with a budget of £18.5m. In our Programme for Government, we are committed to funding an extra 100 PCSOs across Wales.
We also made a £100,000 investment in the 2020-21 financial year which saw the launch of an All-Wales Safer Communities Network and we have committed to continue to fund this for a further two years.
I am aware that South Wales Police are working with local partners to address a number of incidents related to anti-social behaviour in the St Fagans, Ely and Canton areas of Cardiff.
