Information on the number of patients waiting to access primary care general dental services is not held by Welsh Government.
Anyone seeking NHS dental care should contact their health board, which will be able to advise which practices are accepting new patients and the likely time people will need to wait for an appointment. If dental treatment is urgent or the person is in pain there is provision in place to provide care quickly.
I published a written statement on 1 July about the recovery and reform of NHS dentistry: https://gov.wales/written-statement-nhs-dentistry-recovery-and-system-reform
