Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, and Chief Whip
Management and development of football in Wales is overseen by two organisations; the Football Association of Wales, and the Football Association of Wales Trust.
The Football Association of Wales is the national governing body for the sport in Wales. It has a number of important responsibilities, such as player registration, setting safeguarding procedures, management of the domestic game, and codes of conduct for players and officials. The FAW Council has oversight of the FAW’s activities.
The Football Association of Wales Trust is the organisation responsible for the development of football in Wales from grassroots to national level. Its activities are overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Trust also provides advice and guidance on leadership and governance to clubs at grassroots level.
Both organisations work together to protect, promote and develop football in Wales.
Further information on the governance structures for both organisations can be found on their respective websites.
