Will the Minister provide an update on the condition of the road bridges between junction 23A and junction 34 on the M4 in south-east Wales?

There are a total of 101 bridges between M4 J23A and 34. 64 of these are underbridges (i.e. carrying the M4) and 37 of these are overbridges (i.e. crossing the M4). Their condition varies depending on age and form of construction with inspection, maintenance and renewal being programmed to ensure they all remain safely in service.
