Will the First Minister outline the number of projects that have been cancelled by each Welsh Government department over the last five years, and how much funding was allocated to each project?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan First Minister (Mark Drakeford)
Given the broad framing of this question, this response has been provided on the basis of capital projects owned and cancelled (after the point of allocation of budget) by Welsh Government.
On this basis only one project has been cancelled by the Welsh Government, the ‘M4 Corridor around Newport Project’. The total spend on this project since its inception amounted to £135.7m, which reflected spend up to the point at which the decision was taken not to proceed.
