Atebwyd gan Minister for Climate Change
In January 2020, my Deputy Minister announced our Transforming Towns agenda with a package of support for town centres which is now worth nearly £136 million. This investment remains vital in supporting our town centres.
The Transforming Towns programme in North Wales has a budget of £9.1m for 2021/22. Part of this funding is for the new Place Making Grant which gives greater flexibility to Local Authorities to prioritise support and make use of a range of options available to best suit each individual location. This also builds upon the £12m recyclable Loan Funding available for North Wales.
The Regional Regeneration Plan is being refreshed and Consultants are working with the six Local Authorities to identify future priorities.
