As the COVID-19 community transmission rate has risen across Wales in recent weeks there have unfortunately been outbreaks in hospitals, including Ysbyty Gwynedd and Ysbyty Eryri at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
We continue to work closely with health boards and Public Health Wales to ensure that any hospital outbreak is brought swiftly under control and to prevent further outbreaks.
We have issued a comprehensive set of guidance including on outbreak control, cleaning, Infection Prevention and Control, Personal Protective Equipment and bed spacing and continue to offer support to health board Outbreak Control Team meetings where required.
