Will the Minister outline a timeline for the introduction of biofuel heating oil to be available in Wales, so that owners of older, stone-based homes can heat them in a way that reduces their carbon footprint?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Climate Change
A number of heating oil suppliers operating in Wales already offer heating biofuel alternatives and additives to help reduce carbon emissions for domestic heating boilers.
By the end of this year, I will be consulting on home energy efficiency measures which will be made available to householders through our Warm Homes Programme. The availability of biofuel alternatives for domestic heating systems and their effect on greenhouse gas emissions will be considered during the consultation.
