Will the Minister provide an update on what plans Welsh Government has for properties that were acquired through compulsory purchase as part of the M4 relief road?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
No properties have been acquired under Compulsory Purchase Orders in connection with the M4 Relief Road. Properties have been acquired as a result of Blight applications associated with the ‘TR111’ route corridor protections.
Our normal disposal procedure involves firstly offering any surplus property to other internal Welsh Government Departments, various public bodies, as well as an offer back to the former owner under the Crichel Down Rules. If the properties remain available after completion of these processes, they would then be placed on the open market for sale with a local estate agent. My officials have initiated this process.
