Will the Minister confirm whether family members or carers can apply for a NHS COVID pass on behalf of a person who is medically exempt?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
We are working to develop and design a system which will update the COVID Pass so individuals who are medically exempt from receiving a covid vaccination are recorded on the system. The system is not available at the moment, but I can confirm that we are finalising the definition of those who are medically exempt with clinicians, and I hope to be able to make an announcement in the near future.
I will ensure that any system will continue to allow family members or carers to use the service on behalf of any individual who is unable to use the system.
