Will the Minister confirm the timetable for future digital deposit-return pilot schemes, such as that recently trialled in Conwy, so that the Welsh Government may test all elements of implementing such a digital system of collection?

As part of the development of a Deposit Return Scheme, we are working with a range of partners to evaluate the potential of a digital approach to these schemes. The trial in Conwy was an important opportunity to pilot the approach and we are also engaged with the Government in Northern Ireland to learn from the trial undertaken there. The aim is to complete the report on a digital approach by the end of this financial year which may include recommendations for further testing or pilots.
