Will the Minister provide an update on the COVID pass telephone helpline in light of reports of people being unable to get through and having their calls disconnected?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
The Wales Vaccine Certification phone line is open and handling calls seven days a week 9am to 5am, it is currently experiencing very high demand. Because of this, members of the public may experience a wait before they can speak to someone, or in the case of very busy periods be unable to connect to the service.
I have written to all Members of the Senedd about the high demand the phone line is experiencing and the potential solutions we are investigating.
I would encourage people to use the digital NHS COVID Pass whenever possible – further details are available at: Get your NHS COVID Pass | GOV.WALES. Paper copies of the pass can be downloaded from this link.
