The Wales Vaccine Certification service has issued over 155,000 certificates since July, this is available to provide paper COVID Passes for outbound international travel to those Welsh residents who are unable to complete the digital COVID Pass service. The phone line is experiencing very high demand but is open seven days a week from 9am to 5am. We are recruiting additional staff to support the increasing number of calls and improving the information offered to people when they phone at very busy times – these updates will come into effect in the near future. Improvements are also being made to the service provided to carers calling on behalf of someone who cannot get in touch themselves.
The digital NHS COVID Pass service remains the fastest way to get proof of vaccine certification and we would continue to encourage the public to use it whenever possible. The digital NHS Covid Pass service, including information and guidance can be found here: Get your NHS COVID Pass | GOV.WALES.
