What additional support will the Welsh Government provide to the Brecon Mountain Rescue emergency service that is funded by public donations and staffed by volunteers, to support them in continuing their life-saving work?

The Welsh Government currently has no suitable grant scheme nor identified budget aimed at supporting the operating costs of mountain rescue services.
I suggest that Brecon Mountain Rescue contacts the Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations for advice and support on potential sources of funding. PAVO can be contacted at: https://thirdsectorsupport.wales/contact/.
They may also benefit from visiting Funding Wales at: https://funding.cymru/ which has information on a range of grant opportunities, some of which may be suitable for Brecon Mountain Rescue
You may wish to note that Brecon Mountain Rescue is currently applying for capital funding through the Welsh Government’s Community Facilities Programme. The proposals have passed the expression of interest stage and the group has been invited to submit a second stage application.
