The most recent official statistics were published in May 2021 and pertain to the academic year 2019/20. The number of first years entering Initial Teacher Education in academic year 2019/20 with a subject specialism of Secondary IT was 10.
Official statistics for 2020/21 will be published in May 2022. Early indications from management data suggest that there will be an increase in the numbers undertaking IT programmes.
