In 2016 the Welsh Government published its “Post-Implementation Review of the Single Use Carrier Bag Charge” which examined SUCB usage between 2011 and 2014. The report also evaluated the charge’s economic impact and obtained the views of retailers, consumers and suppliers of the charge. A further review was undertaken in 2019 which provided estimated data on bag usage between 2015 and 2019. It also explored attitudes and behaviours of consumers and retailers towards the charge.
