Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
The University Hospital Llandough has four endoscopy theatres and provides sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy and colonoscopy for inpatients and outpatients. The unit provides oesophageal and colonic stent procedures, and screening colonoscopy, for the health board’s population. The unit is also a national referral centre for the assessment and management of complex polyps and a regional centre for oesophageal endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s Oesophagus (RFA).
The Welsh Government does not hold information on expenditure by the health board on mobile endoscopy facilities over the past six months.
