The Single Use Carrier Bag (Wales) Regulations (2010) requires sellers to keep records and publish data relating to the sale of single-use carrier bags either on their websites or in their stores, including what they have done with the proceeds of the charge.
Small businesses employing less than 10 full-time equivalent employees are exempt from the record keeping and publishing requirements. Sellers which are not required to be registered for value added tax (VAT) are exempt from the publishing requirement, as are those selling less than 1,000 chargeable bags per year.
There is no requirement for this data to be reported to the Welsh Government, therefore, we do not hold it.
